NanoPi Neo2 replaces Neo-LTS replaces Neo?

Does anybody have the proven experiance that a NanoPi Neo-LTS is a drop-in replacement (no SW changes) for a NanoPi Neo?

And is a NanoPi Neo2 a drop-in replacement for Neo and/or Neo-LTS?

From the specs I'd assume it works. Both above scenarios. But maybe there is anybody who really did such a HW-exchange...
