Nanopi Neo 3: board does not start after upgrading to 22.02

Hello, I have a problem with a Nanopi Neo3: on 22/03/2022, after upgrading to 22.02, the board does not start anymore.

Unfortunately, I cannot debug it via serial. I have a CP2102 adapter (known to work), but I only get garbled characters. Maybe I am doing something wrong with the serial connection, but I cannot figure it out.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

As found out by @lpirl, the problem is the missing dtb file after the upgrade.

I recovered the rk3328-nanopi-neo3-rev02.dtb file from a different sd (but you can extract it from older images), and I copied it in /boot/dtb-5.15.25-rockchip64/rockchip. Check that /boot/armbianEnv.txt is pointing to that file (mine has the line "fdtfile=rockchip/rk3328-nanopi-neo3-rev02.dtb")

That solved the problem.
