Dual boot on orange pi 5 plus

Grub is available, but I've not tried it with both Android and Ubuntu dual boot as you describe. Note that there is also waydroid which may be worth considering to avoid the endless reboots - see

 

But to come back to your original question, try this approach to setting up Grub on your OrangePi 5+ - it works well. Just be careful to choose an appropriate kernel for your requirements. You might have to enable USB2 support in the UEFI in order for the first boot to work (if you use a USB stick like I did) - see https://forum.armbian.com/topic/35168-generic-uefi-arm64-on-orangepi-5/
