znoxx Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Hello, everyone. Shameless self-promo: https://github.com/znoxx/torbox This set of scripts will allow you to create a tor-enabled wifi access point. Image for OrangePI Zero is based on Armbian - i just disabled NetworkManager here to allow correct execution of scripts. The idea is - you get "normal internet" from Ethernet jack, then do some TOR magic and all traffic from wifi side is "torred". Also I2P is installed to have "more darkness" in your Internets. Everything intended to be completely headless with managing via web interface, written with node.js. Have fun. For russian-speaking persons - description is here: http://znoxx.me/tor-i2p-middlebox/
renaudrenaud Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Thanks, I will have a look when back at home. I read in your documentation that realtek dongle are supported, but not for the OPz. Because the poor onboard wifi adapter in the case of Opz, it could be cool to have a realtek wifi dongle support, don't you think so ? Oh I see you also propose images! Nice job! 1
znoxx Posted March 14, 2017 Author Posted March 14, 2017 Zero already have wifi built-in - thanks to Armbian developers for making it possible. So no need to support external dongles for Zero. March update is the last one for this project - I decided to rewrite everything from scratch soon and make project more flexible -e.g. "suck internetz" not only from ethernet, but allow user to connect to wifi networks. I do have working prototype, but it is far from final version - still a lot to do. Thanks for your interest Regarding poor signal - as for me, I replaced antenna and situation is slightly better. http://znoxx.me/2017/02/01/altiernativnaia-wifi-antienna-dlia-orange-pi/
