JohnTheCoolingFan Posted April 10 Posted April 10 (edited) I'm looking forward to buying a BIGTREETECH Pi v1.2 board to use as a slim home server to replace my Orange Pi PC. I've had pretty good experience with Armbian so far and I would like to make sure I can continue using it with the new board. I didn't find a specific image for BTT Pi v1.2, but I did find a "Desktop > ARM64" entry. I'm confused on what should I use and whether it's supported at all. Can someone clarify that for me? Solution Pigeon Posted April 11 Solution Posted April 11 (edited) It's the same as the CB1 module: https://www.armbian.com/bigtreetech-cb1/ (Maybe hold off on buying it just yet as the BIGTREETECH Pi v2 is about to come out with some nice features like onboard M.2 support) https://imgur.com/MmUZ6NV https://imgur.com/GhTwwaP Edited April 11 by Pigeon Add info about V2 0 Quote
JohnTheCoolingFan Posted April 12 Author Posted April 12 Thanks, looks like the new board will launch soon. I will wait until the v2 comes out. 1 Quote
JohnTheCoolingFan Posted April 22 Author Posted April 22 Ok, I've finally ordered the new board (BTT Pi 2), hopefully armbian will roll out a version for it in the next month or so while the board is getting shipped. I've also noticed quite a bit of similarities with Orange Pi 3B. I wonder, will it be safe to try armbian for that board if the BTT Pi2/CB2 version doesn't come out soon? 0 Quote
