curse Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 I have one of those projectors, and I came to think about perhaps it could be possible to put Armbian on it. Mostly just for fun. I really doubt it would be an improvement to have Linux on a projector, with most likely missing hardware decoding of codecs and other things, rather than having the original Android. However, I haven't really found any information about the H713 chip in any of the different forums with Linux on Arm. Have any of you any information or think that it would be a fun project? If so, please respond. 0 Quote
Nick A Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Last I heard about the H713 chip it was still in early development. https://oftc.irclog.whitequark.org/linux-sunxi/2024-03-29 0 Quote
laminarize Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 Very interested in the H713 - if someone can get that fully functioning I would be willing to pay for the image. 0 Quote

curse Posted 56 minutes ago Author Posted 56 minutes ago @well0nez Thank you. Interesting project. It seems to originally be based on a HY300 project. Unfortunately I don't have the Magcubic HY300 anymore, but both of the projects looks really promising, especially the HY310 project you linked that seems to be fully functional. 0 Quote
well0nez Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago @curse well yes i started this port because shift did a static analysis of the firmware with ai. but well its not usable (mostly) and there are obviously differences between the 2 projectors. i would somehow call it hacky, its nowhere near to be stable but for now its acceptable. i dont know if i will ever be able to complete it. 0 Quote
