Ducdanh Nguyen Posted Saturday at 09:11 AM Posted Saturday at 09:11 AM i have a allwinner h313 mxq pro 4k 5g, kinda new ig but does anyone have a image than boot and install through microsd card /w adapter (microsd card model : sdhc 16gb) 0 Quote
ARx8 Posted Saturday at 03:13 PM Posted Saturday at 03:13 PM (edited) Hi, @Nick A .I used the repository at https://github.com/armbian/build/to compile (./compile.sh build BOARD=x96q BRANCH=current BUILD_DESKTOP=no BUILD_MINIMAL=yes KERNEL_CONFIGURE=no RELEASE=bookworm) the image. Except for WiFi and Bluetooth not working properly, everything else runs fine on the SD card. When using ddbr to back up the Android system, it freezes after a few seconds. Using armbian-install also causes it to freeze, and afterward, I can't boot into the Android system anymore. Below is my device's dts. dtb dtb.0 dtb.0.dts dtb.0.dts.yaml Edited Sunday at 02:04 AM by ARx8 0 Quote
Nick A Posted Saturday at 03:21 PM Posted Saturday at 03:21 PM @Randlin there’s a patch for hard coded 1.5 ram detection in the official armbian build. https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/main/patch/u-boot/v2025-sunxi/0009-sunxi-h616-dram-support-1.5GB-RAM-size.patch 0 Quote

Nick A Posted Sunday at 05:57 PM Posted Sunday at 05:57 PM (edited) @ARx8 can you take a picture of your board so we can figure out if your wifi chip has mainline kernel drivers. You can find the gpio #’s using your dts.0.dts file. The wifi might already be detected but you are missing firmware. If you can post your dmesg. Edited Sunday at 06:01 PM by Nick A 0 Quote
jdie Posted yesterday at 01:03 AM Posted yesterday at 01:03 AM (edited) Hello, I have x96q2 H313 2/16 board v4.0 ram k4b2g0446c hyh9 and apx305. I tried all img, and no one worked on my TV box. The chips on the motherboard include H313, AXP313A, KMQN10006B-B318, and EA6521QF (Wi-Fi + BT chip). I have the Linux driver package for this Wi-Fi chip. this Wi-Fi chip (EA6521QF) likely isn't supported by mainline Linux kernel.I’ll figure out how to integrate it later when I need to use Wi-Fi. Using Wi-Fi is not the most important thing; the key is that I want to install it into the eMMC instead of booting from the SD card. May I ask what modifications I need to make to the original Armbian project code based on the dts I provided to ensure stable read/write operations on the eMMC without crashes? Moreover, I've already tried using a different TF card. These same cards work fine when installing to eMMC on my other X96Q (DDR v5.1), but they keep freezing up on this device.。 dmesg.txt Edited yesterday at 02:54 AM by ARx8 add dmesg 0 Quote
Randlin Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Unfortunately that patch has not made a significant difference in how far it boots. It does detects 1.5gb in startup now but then detect 2gb later once uboot dts loads and then halts as usual: Spoiler U-Boot SPL 2025.01-armbian-2025.01-S6d41-Pc657-H8869-V004f-Bb703-R448a-dirty (Aug 12 2025 - 15:25:01 +0000) testing 32-bit width, rank = 2 DRAM:Store cfg DRAM:1st writing pattern DRAM:detecting column address bits detected 10 columns DRAM:restore cfg DRAM:reconfigure for all active rows DRAM:store cfg DRAM:2nd writing pattern DRAM:detecting row address bits detected 15 rows DRAM:restoring cfg DRAM:end of auto detect dram size DRAM base address is defined as 0x40000000 DRAM has 15 b/raw, 10 b/col, 4 B/width, 2 #rank and 8 #bank DRAM top address must be less than 0x80000000 DRAM top address must be less than 0x60000000 MBUS port 0 cfg0 0100000d cfg1 00640080 MBUS port 1 cfg0 06000009 cfg1 01000578 MBUS port 2 cfg0 0200000d cfg1 00600100 MBUS port 3 cfg0 01000009 cfg1 00500064 MBUS port 4 cfg0 20000209 cfg1 1388157c MBUS port 5 cfg0 00640209 cfg1 00200040 MBUS port 6 cfg0 00640209 cfg1 00200040 MBUS port 8 cfg0 01000009 cfg1 00400080 MBUS port 11 cfg0 01000009 cfg1 00640080 MBUS port 14 cfg0 04000009 cfg1 00400100 MBUS port 16 cfg0 2000060d cfg1 09600af0 MBUS port 21 cfg0 0800060d cfg1 02000300 MBUS port 22 cfg0 01000009 cfg1 00640080 MBUS port 25 cfg0 0064000f cfg1 00200040 MBUS port 26 cfg0 20000209 cfg1 1388157c MBUS port 37 cfg0 01000009 cfg1 00400080 MBUS port 38 cfg0 00640209 cfg1 00200040 MBUS port 39 cfg0 20000209 cfg1 1388157c MBUS port 40 cfg0 00640209 cfg1 00200040 DRAM: 1536 MiB Trying to boot from MMC1 NOTICE: BL31: v2.10.14(debug):armbian NOTICE: BL31: Built : 20:20:28, Aug 7 2025 NOTICE: BL31: Detected Allwinner H616 SoC (1823) NOTICE: BL31: Found U-Boot DTB at 0x4a0b2520, model: hechuang,x96-q LPDDR3 INFO: ARM GICv2 driver initialized INFO: Configuring SPC Controller INFO: PMIC: Probing AXP305 on RSB ERROR: RSB: set run-time address: 0x10003 INFO: Could not init RSB: -65539 INFO: BL31: Platform setup done INFO: BL31: Initializing runtime services INFO: BL31: cortex_a53: CPU workaround for erratum 855873 was applied INFO: BL31: cortex_a53: CPU workaround for erratum 1530924 was applied INFO: PSCI: Suspend is unavailable INFO: BL31: Preparing for EL3 exit to normal world INFO: Entry point address = 0x4a000000 INFO: SPSR = 0x3c9 INFO: Changed devicetree. ns16550_serial serial@5000000: pinctrl_select_state_full: uclass_get_device_by_phandle_id: err=-19 U-Boot 2025.01-armbian-2025.01-S6d41-Pc657-H8869-V004f-Bb703-R448a-dirty (Aug 12 2025 - 15:25:01 +0000) Allwinner Technology CPU: Allwinner H616 (SUN50I) Model: hechuang,x96-q LPDDR3 DRAM: 2 GiB (effective 0 Bytes) 0 Quote
Nick A Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) @Randlin Have you tried the latest minimyth2 images? https://github.com/warpme/minimyth2/releases/tag/v14.3.0 maybe you can revert to the old ram size detection. https://github.com/warpme/minimyth2/commit/962ac7da6cb84d0e41826c5555cb101b70a53a8d Edited 52 minutes ago by Nick A 0 Quote
Randlin Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Do any of those images use secureboot uboot (toc0) that you know of? 0 Quote
Nick A Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Oh sorry I forgot… you can add the secure boot patch but compiling minimyth2 might take awhile. or you can copy over minimyth2 latest uboot patches. https://github.com/warpme/minimyth2/tree/master/script/bootloaders/u-boot-aw/files these patches are for uboot version 2025.04. So you need to change the version number here. https://github.com/NickAlilovic/build/blob/v20250306/config/sources/families/include/sunxi64_common.inc declare -g BOOTBRANCH="${BOOTBRANCH:-"tag:v2025.01"}" Edited 45 minutes ago by Nick A 0 Quote
Randlin Posted 4 minutes ago Posted 4 minutes ago I've been doing some research/reading and I see that this was a problem before with a somewhat similar box with 1.5gb ram: I will try copying the patches over, thank you for all your help so far! 0 Quote
