 Hi, @Nick A .I used the repository at https://github.com/armbian/build/to compile (./compile.sh build BOARD=x96q BRANCH=current BUILD_DESKTOP=no BUILD_MINIMAL=yes KERNEL_CONFIGURE=no RELEASE=bookworm) the image. Except for WiFi and Bluetooth not working properly, everything else runs fine on the SD card. When using ddbr to back up the Android system, it freezes after a few seconds. Using armbian-install also causes it to freeze, and afterward, I can't boot into the Android system anymore. Below is my device's dts.

@ARx8 can you take a picture of your board so we can figure out if your wifi chip has mainline kernel drivers. 
 

You can find the gpio #’s using your dts.0.dts file. 

The wifi might already be detected but you are missing firmware. If you can post your dmesg.

Hello, I have x96q2 H313 2/16 board v4.0 ram k4b2g0446c hyh9 and apx305. I tried all img, and no one worked on my TV box. Mb u can help me, how I can build img for my board? I need sd card version armbian or arch Linux (not emmc installation)

@rafaeldavid My device appears to have the same problem as yours. What was your fix?
@Nick AThanks!  The chips on the motherboard include H313, AXP313A, KMQN10006B-B318, and EA6521QF (Wi-Fi + BT chip).
I have the Linux driver package for this Wi-Fi chip. this Wi-Fi chip (EA6521QF) likely isn't supported by mainline Linux kernel.I’ll figure out how to integrate it later when I need to use Wi-Fi.

Using Wi-Fi is not the most important thing; the key is that I want to install it into the eMMC instead of booting from the SD card. May I ask what modifications I need to make to the original Armbian project code based on the dts I provided to ensure stable read/write operations on the eMMC without crashes?
Moreover, I've already tried using a different TF card. These same cards work fine when installing to eMMC on my other X96Q (DDR v5.1), but they keep freezing up on this device.。

Unfortunately that patch has not made a significant difference in how far it boots. It does detects 1.5gb in startup now but then detect 2gb later once uboot dts loads and then halts as usual:

Oh sorry I forgot… you can add the secure boot patch but compiling minimyth2 might take awhile.

 

or you can copy over minimyth2 latest uboot patches.

these patches are for uboot version 2025.04. So you need to change the version number here.

I've been doing some research/reading and I see that this was a problem before with a somewhat similar box with 1.5gb ram:

Orange pi zero 3 with 1.5g had the same problem too.. I think they used the 1.5g hardcoded patch to fix it. You might have to remove the newer ram size detection patch. I haven’t updated warpme patches in awhile so I’m hoping this bug has been fixed.

If i try MiniArch-20240715-6.16.0-board-h313.x96_q-SD-Image.img or MiniMyth2-armv8-master-14.3.0.r502-board-h313.x96_q-SD-Image.img, any version, nothing happens or I get the message "DRAM: DRAM setup is currently not supported". I need SD-card version. But at this point any option will do. Maybe someone has encountered such problems? What are the options for solving the problems of the sicxnull version or miniarch/minimyth2 version?

@Nick A I wonder why android loading stops when the sd card with linux is in the tv box. And when loading the sd card, as I wrote earlier, I see the message "U-Boot SPL 2024.01-armbian-2024.01-S866c-P6135-Ha9af-V6d37-Bda0a-R448a (Sep 19 2024 - 19:48:11 -0400) This DRAM setup is currently not supported. resetting ... ". I am not a super pro user and I don’t know some things. I was looking for the usual answer myself, but after 7 days of searching and popping up I decided to write here. Maybe this will help me in my situation. All the answers I found are for TV boxes v1.3, v5.1 v3.0. No one with v4.0 has seen how I felt about the version and how the boxes and components can differ greatly.

You need to extract your boot0 and use sunxi-fw to read your dram settings.

So I copied the patches from Minimyth2 to your Armbian and it built, however it is now detecting 2gb ram lol.... Will try to see if I can find a way to hardcode 1.5gb

Okay that detects 1.5gb at spl, but then detects 2gb at uboot, just like the first patch I tried. Maybe something to do with me currently using the U-Boot DTB from X96-q, a 2gb device? I did try a different config for a different tv box as well (transpeed), but that had the same result.
