SpityuHun Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 hy, please help... i cant set up automatic time and date sync via ntp. date is ok, time set GMT in all time, not apply my custom timezone GMT+2... i power on board, set time, is good. i power off board. today good, tomorrow not. tomorrow set again timezone GMT+2 system use UTC, and i cant change it! i try this metod to fix my local time: "cp /usr/share/zoneinfo/Etc/GMT-2 /etc/localtime" this work to reboot, after reboot restore GMT timezone... I try NTP time sync... ubuntu ntp server not working, and change to for europe.pool.ntp.org Europe NTP Server. Problem with NTP sync is not sync at boot. I try many metod, all woring to reboot...after reboot again set... I not write my RTC problem.... 1970.01.01....this funny... missing RTC battery on all board I've already been emptied!
James Kingdon Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Assuming you have internet connectivity and ntp is not blocked, the time should be correctly set by timedate at startup. You can check the status with timedatectl status To configure the timezone use sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata and follow the prompts.
