Don Pedro
Hello, I've got some problems with a Cubietruck. First thing to state is that the com-port apparently has died. It was connected via a USB-converter 3,3v and worked flawlessly for a long time. I replaced it with a new one but no go. In the beginning no problem, I could use SSH. Second thing is that the hard disk became erroneous. I bought a bigger model but no boot. I thought that the UUID-entry in /etc/fstab caused this and changed it via tune2fs to the old one, but still no boot. Thus I could no longer use SSH! And I cannot mount the old harddisk, it's to erroneous! Third thing is that I tried with a new image, and the cubie seems to finally boot. But it's lacking to get a valid ip-address via dhcp. Still no SSH! What to do? I'd like to login only once to edit /etc/fstab and set a fixed ip. But I cannot get in the system! The micro-SD-card seems to be unmountable, apparently there's something else at the beginning. I only see the card but no partitions! Anyone an idea? CryBaby
A better power supply might fix 1 and 2, they can go bad over time. 3 is a bug, sometimes you will get a connection, but mostly no carrier.
Don Pedro
I can almost surely exclude the power supply. It has gone bad before but worked again after a complete re-cap. The elkos had dried out, a common prob and a re-cap is a safe method to resurrect it, so in this case. I will give a last try, connecting a hdmi-monitor and an USB-keyboard should yield a working console. If not, I will finally give up.
