Manuel
Hi all. I hope I'm posting this in the right section of the forum. I'm looking for an SBC to use as a media center (Kodi) attached to an old CRT TV to watch (among others) german DVB-T2 terrestrial broadcasts. I've set up a Raspberry Pi 3 with OSMC so far and this works well for net content but isn't up to the task of decoding the H.265 TV streams, presumably due to lack of hardware support. So, what I need is an SBC with hardware support for H.265 decoding which also sports a composite video output. Preliminary research leads me to believe that the Orange Pi series of boards should be up to the task and seem well supported by Armbian. However, I'm a bit lost in their lineup. Candidates so far are - Orange Pi Plus 2 (has 2GB of RAM) - Orange Pi Plus 2E (is that basically a slimmed down Plus 2? What are the main differences besides missing SATA?) - Orange Pi PC 2 (seems to be the only 64bit board, only 1GB of RAM. How well is arm64 supported on Armbian?) So, which one should I pick or are there any other suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help and input! Manuel
