Hi,

I downloaded Armbian 4.14.14 and I installed it on my Banana PI.

Then I configured it to act as Gateway/Firewall.

Now, just before I start active using it, I wanted to backup the installation on a second SD-card, just in case...

I buyed a Toshiba 8GB Class 10 and I started to copy the data from my "old" SD-Card (SanDisk 8GB Class 10), first with Linux using dd, then under Windows using Win32DiskImager.

Always the same problem: if I boot the Banana PI with the new card the system boots and, before I get the login screen, the system restarts in a loop...

With the "old" card of course it works...

Can someone explain me the behavior and how to solve my problem?

Thanks a lot

Just another thing I see right now...

During boot it says:

Begin: Will now check root file system ... fsck from util-linux 2.29.2
[/sbin/fsck.ext4 (1) -- /dev/mmcblk0p1] fsck.ext4 -a -C0 /dev/mmcblk0p1
/dev/mmcblk0p1: The filesystem size (according to the superblock) is 1900644 blocks
The physical size of the device is 1898496 blocks
Either the superblock or the partition table is likely to be corrupt!

/dev/mmcblk0p1: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY.
        (i.e., without -a or -p options)
fsck exited with status code 4
done.
Failure: File system check of the root filesystem failed
The root filesystem on /dev/mmcblk0p1 requires a manual fsck
Rebooting automatically due to panic= boot argument

Well, I'd like to start this fsck, but I cannot stop the reboot loop...

Can someone explain me how can I reboot in single mode in order to start fsck?

Thanks

Hi again!

Problem solved!

I connected the SD card on my PC and tried to run fsck, but it bleats something about wrong partition size.

After a resize2fs fsck worked without any problem.

Now the BPI bootet with the new SD card.

Hope this help someone other!
