OPi+ 2e network connection dropping after update

I am using an OPi+ 2e as an OMV box. Tonight I updated to 5.38 (4.14.15 kernel).

 

After the update, the network connection drops between the router and the OPi at random intervals. At least once in a hour, sometimes within 10 minutes. Tried restarting the device and the router, to no avail.
