lionz Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Hello, [sorry if this is in the wrong forum category] I am a new user and have got my OPi zero running up until the console (starting message), via ethernet. I have used a router with IP 192.168.4.1 as DHCP server, which is not connected to internet. The routing table is accordingly similar to [1] Wifi is not yet set up. When I want to, it should connect to a different AP/router (say operating as 192.168.1.1 seen over wlan0), and therefore also the routes have to be adjusted. My question is: can I delete the default route in [1] while still retaining connection to the Pi via Ethernet? (from the PC which is on the 192.168.4.0 net, say 192.168.4.10?) Asked the other way: what is the minimum line required in the routing table? In my understanding, the second line in [1] should be enough to hold the connection.
