SD card size limitation: software limited?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

without consulting the specs first I bought a 128GByte card and obviously it doesn't work on my OPi Plus2e

Is there any chance this will be fixed in software or is this a hardware limitation?

Cheers,

pansen

There is no such hardware or software limitation, H3 devices do support SDXC cards with 128GB, below you find iozone numbers for a 128GB Samsung EVO+ made on an Orange Pi Plus 2E and here link to our documentation how to deal with SD cards: https://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Getting-Started/#how-to-prepare-a-sd-card

Thanks tkaiser, I actually mixed up df with lsblk <_< added to fstab & mounted now.

Here's my iozone output for reference (have a Samsung Evo+ too):
