  1. Hi, I want to use g_ether on NanoPi Neo Plus2. For Neo Air, I have already figured out how to do this and I can see usb0 in config. But with armbian 5.85 (4.19.38-sunxi64), the same instructions fail at sudo ifconfig usb0 up with the message "usb0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device". Could somebody tell me how to activate USB OTG on NanoPi Neo Plus2 and then use g_ether. I think the same holds true for g_serial. This could be an alternative, but I would prever ethernet connection. My target: Connect NanoPi Neo Plus2 with NanoPi Neo Air via Ethernet Thank you for your help! Steps I followed for g_ether:
  2. Hi, I have tried again. The error is still the same. See also my screenshots, I added my cpuinfo because the error message is related this this. The board revision in cpuinfo is 0 and in boardtype_friendlyelec.c 0. So this seems matching, if revision is the second entry in the gAllBoardHardwareInfo entry elements (BoardHardwareInfo). Could you please crosscheck with your NanoPi Air content of cpuinfo and post it here, maybe I need to fix something there. Thank you!
  3. Hi, thank you for your answer. I am sorry that it took me so long to try this out. But unfortunately this does not work with my NanoPi Neo Air. The error message is still: piBoardRev: Unable to determine board revision from /proc/cpuinfo. Is 2(0) the board revision number? In boardtype_friendlyelec.c the corresponding line is this: {"sun8i", 0, NanoPi_NEO_Air, "NanoPi-NEO-Air", "2(0)"}, So, maybe 0 is the board revision number. I am unsure what causes the error, I did not find the error message directly in boardtype_friendlyelec.c. Most likely this function is related: getFieldValueInCpuInfo and not the getAllwinnerBoardID where I changed the two lines according to your instructions. The file /sys/devices/platform/board/info named there is empty on my devices and the corresponding folder does not exists. This seems like the error, could you post your /sys/devices/platform/board/info file content from your NanoPi Neo Air? Thank you!
  4. Hi, I would like to use wiringPi for my NanoPi Neo Air, but after installing wiring P, I only get unable to determine board revision as output from gpio readall. I tried this approaches already: Could someone please explain me how to build wiring P for NanoPi Neo Air so that it is working? On NanoPi Neo Plus 2, I did not have to change anything when installing wiringNP under Armbian.
  5. WLAN has to be disabled according to my requirements, this is not my decision. I selected the NanoPi Neo Air because it was very thin and small. I did try to enable g_ether, but it seems not to be compiled. I followed these instructions: https://vjordan.info/log/fpga/inapp-otg-ethernet.html Additonal, I found these: https://vjordan.info/log/fpga/nanopi-neo-usb-otg-with-armbian-mainline-4x-kernel.html (first comment). But I was unable to bring up g_ether. In this forum, I searched in the H2&H3 section ( ). But it seems that the current build is not supporting g_ether. Is there any tutorial how to install and enable g_ether with only a serial connection (I have an additonal CP2102 USB to UART module therefore). I would like to remove g_serial from the USB OTG?
  6. Hi, I have a quesiton/problem: How can I access the Nano Pi Neo Air with current Ambian (Stretch) OS (Armbian_5.69_Nanopiair_Debian_stretch_next_4.19.13) using USB SSH? Access to serial console is working fine, but I need SSH. How can I activate this, WLAN is no option for me due to requirements for the systems. Thank you!
