Just wanted to say that I followed the instructions in this thread. I changed sources.list to debian stretch and then the armbian list specifically. The upgrade went smooth except for some hiccup with initramfs. I had to install the busybox-static package and then do sudo update-initramfs -u After doing this it worked!
