Get it working with a newer version $ wget http://httpredir.debian.org/debian//pool/main/d/device-tree-compiler/device-tree-compiler_1.4.7-3_armhf.deb $ dpkg --install device-tree-compiler_1.4.7-3_armhf.deb

Can you please provide the binarys I also can not compile the dts files. Get the same error.
