Hi. Currently using Kodi on Raspberry Pi. I also run IPTV service on the Kodi Raspberry Pi. It seems switching channels is slow, EPG seems limited as well. I want to know when I buy a TV box, does it come with OS? Can I just load the m3u file so it allows watching IPTV? Does it allow faster switching of channel than using a Raspberry Pi? So many questions regarding TV Box. But seems to me the forum has a lot of topics of people getting TV Box and repurposing the box as desktop. Why is this? Not really using it for IPTV?

Hi. Currently, I subscribe to IPTV service, and have it loaded on Kodi (Raspberry Pi 3b). I don't have full EPG. Also, it's slow switching channels. Don't feel like a TV at all. I was wondering if any of these Arm SBC can function like and actual STB provided by cable providers? My IPTV service requires me to load the url to m3u8. I'd like to have something that looks like this Currently, I think I have something that looks like this It's also super slow to start a channel. Is this normal IPTV behavior?
