  1. I apologise I made a new thread, bu this post was probably better suited here: Hello all, Firstly, thank you for all your great work. Though my question pertains to Armbian Bionic on the BananaPi R2, I believe the question is further reaching. I have an R2 Board and have installed an IO Crest 8 Port PCIE Serial Card Link: http://www.iocrest.com/en/product_details629_a.html Installs and boots fine. Card has mainline kernel support. Running lspci -v returns: 00:00.0 PCI bridge: MEDIATEK Corp. Device 0801 (rev 01) (prog-if 00 [Normal decode]) Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 226 Memory at 60300000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K] Bus: primary=00, secondary=01, subordinate=01, sec-latency=0 Memory behind bridge: 60000000-600fffff Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 3 Capabilities: [70] Express Root Port (Slot-), MSI 00 Capabilities: [100] Advanced Error Reporting Capabilities: [148] Virtual Channel Kernel driver in use: pcieport 00:01.0 PCI bridge: MEDIATEK Corp. When I did some investigation, I found some references to Debian installs having the number of serial ports limited in the kernel, but this is way outside of my knowledge. I would value your feedback.
