Yes, I've got one running Coreelec and it's definitely Gigabit (there are 100mbit versions available too) My model - X96AirP2 4GB/64GB I guess the biggest differences are faster/better CPU and GPU giving more hardware support for more resolutions, codecs, bitrates etc
