  1. Here's the armbianmonitor output https://app.box.com/s/np7u3bv3l7fpvzlybdz7xhh63d28ilkj
  2. For the second time today on my few-days-old Odroid N2+ build with Buster desktop I have a system-wide freeze. Blue LED is constantly on and there is no response to keyboard or mouse events. Was interacting with Plex both times but I only have Plex, Tautulli and Samba server set up. I'm loath to pull the power but 30mins in to the second freeze (I pulled the plug on the first one). What should I be looking for when I get it running again?
  3. On my Macs I am used to creating a clone of my drives. So I back up everything Is this method possible for the sata drive in the Odroid HC1? If I cloned the drive could I swap between them without noticing functional difference (or would things like the drive's UUID be different)?
  4. Ok, since moving from lighttpd to apache I have managed to get everything configured and working happily on my little server (Odroid HC1) So, I'd like to back up the sata drive that contains the root file system and the user data. I'm looking for advice on the best way of doing this? It will be backed up initially to another USB external 2.5" drive, then perhaps just the user data to a cloud service (not sure yet). Also, I should probably back up the microSD card to right? Ideally, along with protecting my user data I am aiming to be able to get the server back up and running in the case that I do something wrong with a future update or install or configuration change and save myself from having to start over. Jon
  5. What's the diff? For the newcomer, is there an explanation of the differences between these distro variants? I'm looking for a lightweight desktop environment for a media server on an Odroid N2+. I have more experience with Debian over Ubuntu Jon
  6. Thanks again, I started over and I'll roll my own by hand from now on. The reason I'm here at Armbian is because of issues with pre-packaged software on DietPi. So far so good. Time for bed now
  7. Thank you - I will try to learn Ok, so I need to make pihole work first. Pihole is not found regardless of whether my vpn is active or not. pihole status returns jon@hc1:~$ pihole status [sudo] password for jon: [✓] DNS service is running [✓] Pi-hole blocking is Enabled and if I go to 192.168.20.100 I see the nextcloud activation page - that seems to suggest to me that the web server is running ok.
  8. Hi, Hobby-level user here. New to Armbian. Trying to get Nextcloud and PiHole installed and running on my Odroid HC1. I use Tailscale as a VPN and would like to be set up to use both the pihole's ad-blocking and Nextcloud from outside my LAN. I've gone through set up and install of both. Armbian-config>Softy reports both installed and running. Nextcloud The Nextcloud activation page is visible at https://192.168.20.100/activate/ When I go to https://nextcloudpi.local:4443 I get nothing - it seems to get stuck at the DNS lookup stage. PiHole PiHole's admin page is not reachable at http://192.168.20.100/admin Server not found is the message. I'd really like to get this server set up properly from the start and will wait for advice on how to proceed. Jon
  9. Total Armbian newbie here. Previous Dietpi user looking to acquire an Odroid N2+ for primarily serving music (Plex, Logitech Music Server perhaps). Wondering about the availability of support for routing audio through to USB DAC? In DietPi this was handled through alsamixer. How is it handled if at all with Armbian?
