It was image 001. WOrks like a charm. Will reinstall on a 64Gb class 10 sd and a 500Gb Hard disk. Next I will try to see if it works on a phoenix A20 (have 2 of those) Thanks again!!!

I downloaded the files. There is an image 001 and 003 . The 003 is the patched version? For the rest it is still all clean installations so nothing is lost. I have 64Gb Class 10 SD card which is extremely fast so changing does not take too much time.

How does one apply a patch?

I installed the desktop and through ctrl-alt-F2 was able to exit back to the CLI. And all works fine again except for the desktop. I was wondering, I use an adapter to convert from HDMI to VGA. Could that be the cause?

I am not sure if this is the right post but I seem to have the same problem. I am trying to reinstall my Cubietruck 3 with this file : Armbian_21.08.1_Cubietruck_focal_current_5.10.60_xfce_desktop. It boots fine does everything according to the documentation, starts "starting desktop environment" and that was the last I saw. No doubt I am doing something wrong but being a CP/M, DOS, Windows guy I am not familiar with Linux.... Regards Nico (Netherlands)
