RockPro64 kernel v5.4 doesn't boot on eMMC (while kernel v4.4 does)

Is this issue resolved? I have a rockpro64 booting from emmc on armbian 10, running stuff I really need. I would like to upgrade it, but I don't dare to do that unless this issue is resolved. Does anyone know?
