  1. So, I continue my experiments. Installed Armbian from the link in the post. Wi-Fi connection is working.
  2. Did an experiment: On the phone (I have Honor 20) I turned on the 2.4 GHz hotspot. Through armbian-config, I tried to connect to it and received the same message as before, while it looks like the chip responsible for Wi-Fi turned off, because. other Wi-Fi access points are no longer detected. Judging by the log, this is indeed the case. dmesg | grep 'WCN\|wlan0': A similar situation when working through wpa_supplicant. After restarting OrangePi 3 LTS, Wi-Fi hotspots are again visible to the device.
