A log from the image from orangepi that boots to compare with the one that fails. Check if the dtb files are different and what is changed from the armbian dtb. If different try to swap to the one working from orangepi

I think he refered to the mesa debs. I did a "sudo systemctl stop lightdm" to be sure, and installed them from console and took a reboot

Try the image without the new mesa debs first to see if it boots. Have you checked that the extlinux.conf in /boot/extlinux/points to the dtb file. You could try flashingt the non-desktop image and see if it boots

I think the image with desktop has the old dtb file. I downloaded the minimal lunar image and fetched the dtb from that image and put this on the desktop image and then it worked for me, but I had some glitches on the output when using the new mesa fork debs. hste
