  1. I was cleaning storage room of customer and found this device in sealed box. Owner of the box say it was rarely used and i can keep it. Only thing broken was the battery. I replaced it temporarily with unused smartphone one. The device boots and is almost new condition. SoC RK3066 = (ARM Cortex-A9 Dual-Core @ 1.6Ghz + ARM Mali400MP4) RAM 1GB = (Four Chips on image are Hynix [H5TQ2G83CFR-H9C] -2gb) Storage 16GB = (Toshiba TH58TEG7DCJTA20 - Nand Flash MLC 16GB) Uart RX/TX pads on board I make this topic as i want to ask more experienced people here if this SoC can run "some" version of Armbian. Thank you in advance
  2. Thank you for reply Yes i know that is not official. That is why i post this in off-topic. For example = Xda-dev is nice forum but is over filled with "help me i brick my device" and many topics, that have some pointers but are locked or too old for anyone to reply there. I do not think posting another topic about 8227L i will have any reply regarding to this as most users there want Android 10-13 to run. (i do not think that is possible). Armbian forum give me picture that you can run Armbian on this kind old of hardware (armv7) if you have unlocked bootloader. I also find this topic here "armbian on A10 tablet" regarding to run armbian on Allwiner A10 SoC. My sister have old Tablet that is based on A10 soldered on Inet-1 (Inet-Tek motherboard) but she use it only as wake up clock and mirror (10 inch screen with selfie camera). My Device is running old Android 6, have OEM unlocking (unlocked bootloader), has 2x USB host controllers, decent 4 core armv7, 2GB Ram and 1024x600 screen. ----------- Surfing web for few days tell me that AC8227L SoC can be based on MTK 8127 Searching about Mtk 8127 give me hw specs that are very near as AC8227L CPU = 4x 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 GPU = Mali-450 RAM = 2GB DDR3/L single channel (MAX) I added HW info screenshot (i know that info can be faked) I have also found few sites that describe, linux can run on devices based on MTK 8127 but info is very shallow and vary from device to device: Amazon Fire 7 (2017) Amazon Fire TV Stick 2nd gen Acer Iconia Tab 10 A3-A20FHD I have Rom dump if needed
  3. I am writing this as i am searching to find some info. Why i ended here you may ask? I was searching google for pointers and i ended in topic here about Android TV boxes that can have Emmc reflashed with Armbian or dual boot. Yes you can say, "why you not post to xda-developers forum then?" Most of stuff there regarding to this device are fixing buggy fake android and unbrick topics. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Device i have is using old Android 6 and is rooted. I also have full dump of device ROM if something happen. SoC is based on Mediatek AC8227L CPU is 4x Armv7L running at 1.1ghz RAM 2GB DDR3L GPU is Mali 450 with OpenGL ES1.1/2.0 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I know ARM SoC need to have baked image and cannot run on any similar armbian image. I have experience with flashing android devices and have few ARM based boards: RPI Zero (armv6) RPI 3B (Cortex-A53) RPI 3A (Cortex-A53) RPI Zero2 (Cortex-A53) Pine64 (Cortex A5) OrangePI Zero (4x arm7L) For example OrangePi-Zero (armv7L) that use Mali 400 GPU have Armbian image here. I know nobody will make image for me here. As is say i am searching to find some info about this.
