@tnt i also didnt get the the sd slot running. i soldered 3 NEW slots and none of them worked. since i ordered a 10 pack from china i didnt mind to dump them after unsoldering. i always got a dmesg error (logs somewhere above). there are 2 errors possible: bad china quality slots there is something on the board missing. also i dont think there was somthing wrong with the soldering since im an enineer and solder on daily basis. btw. i uses a hot air gun for solderding, therefor it i also should be working. if there are now 2 of us having problems i might thingk its no problem on my side.....

chip seems to be have driver support already. discussed here what says ip a?

this unit has 8GiB of RAM so dont be greedy. you can share 512MiB or more of RAM 😉

do you have any pics of the pcb?! also this seems to be be similar to the h96-max-v56-rk3566 which also has a 8GB RAM version

he! i also have no interest in fixing this, since my todo list is full of important real life problems to fix. so i literally already have work for years in my free time. so someone else should step in.

so it should be fixed with our PR in 24.8.0-trunk.596, right?

btw i personally never shorted any pins ever on my box. for me ALWAYS worked: while powercyle push an hold the reset button for 10 sec or so. then the bootloader comes up. maybe its not in mask rom mode then you have to switch to it via rockchip dev tool

@xuandat09 i dont use windoze systems so I am not helpfull with the windows version of the devtools. on linux there is a command to switch boot modes.

rkdevtool method worked for me

try the official community 24.8.0.trunk. it conotains also a gnome destop flavour for h96.

i alread have armian running. just want to ad the reader for fun. hmmm....the soldering was very good, so i guess its maybe the cheap chinese sdcard socket. i have still 9 left to try 😡 now i go with the hot gun....
