I did, although with 1024x768-60, the same result. Wheezy desktop the same. I will go through /sys/class/graphics/fb0/modes and try to set each. now I burn again solid-run image which worked well, but I want the fb.modes copy. can you suggest other images from your archive,probably with older kernel?

With build from 26th of August, kernel 3.14.14 (cli, debian jessie) I cannot see any hdmi output.
