alright thanks @edupv Oh, and one another problem that bugs me once every one or two week in armbian 5.27, but in 5.40 it's almost everyday, The UASP stopped responding requests, it freeze entire system for several minutes, and every I/O to my hard drive makes the OS unresponsive. I was using ASMedia ASM1153E a years ago, and it show much problem. So I switch to JMicron JMS578, which doesn't error as often like ASMedia 1153E. I already read here (http://linux-sunxi.org/USB/UAS) and found out both ASM1153E and JMS578 is listed as OK right now. below is dmesg output when it started to freeze when I'm copying a file from my PC to OrangePi via Windows 10 SMB. Most of the time, I'm just unplug & plug it again, followed by reboot if the problem still occured.
  2. alright, thank you so much! I wish I could donate to you for your amazing job maintaining the armbian - sadly i don't have any credit cards, but maybe I'll send you in bitcoins after I mine some. (is it okay?) AFAIK, this isn't retained after reboot right? can I just simply pasting these commands on /etc/rc.local ?
  3. Does this issue also affecting the idle clocks? Today I reinstalled my OrangePi PC2 with 5.40 Ubuntu Xenial Next desktop, and the cpu clocks rarely back to 408Mhz even cpu loads are low ( 0.05 at 1152Mhz ) Tried changing governor from ondemand to interactive, but it seems no effect current /etc/default/cpufrequtils: # WARNING: this file will be replaced on board support package (linux-root-...) upgrade ENABLE=true MIN_SPEED=240000 MAX_SPEED=1296000 GOVERNOR=interactive My previous OS is 5.27 Ubuntu Xenial, which works awesome for almost a year. Cpu clocks idle at 240Mhz (I lowered it myself from 408Mhz)
  4. Hi all, first time posting here First, thanks everyone that contribute to Armbian for OrangePi PC 2. This is my first time trying Armbian & so far it seems reliable! Running on nightly Desktop 4.10 .0 ( ARMBIAN 5.27.170331 nightly Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS 4.10.0-sun50iw2 ) Most of the time, I use this board headless tho... Main goal is for speedy NAS because of the onboard GbE LAN(I have raspberry 2 for NAS right now). The iperf3 benchmark amazingly consistent at ~900Mbit/s! Never expected that fast for this kind of SBC. Anyway, I have issues for the USB OTG not working at all, Tried it as USB Host, or USB Device(client), none of them doing anything. On OrangePi PC 1 (using the loboris image) that port can act as a USB Host which I can plug additional flash drive there . and other question - after googling a lot, I'm still confused about the "video hardware acceleration" and "video HW decoder" - is it the same, or the latter is only for video codecs playing capability? Can someone explain briefly why this HW acceleration is only possible on Android because of Allwinner not releasing the (source code?) Can't we use the Android's binary/modules and use it on other distro? once again, thanks a lot to those that make this amazing board running a really good software (not the crap one that xunlong created :D)
