  1. I have installed the USB wifi adapter with RTL8188 on NP Neo. Runs perfectly! Many thanks developer - great job!!! Walter
  2. @Larry and Raschid, Many thanks for your hints. I will try the OrangePi zero version either with dongle and XR819 driver. Best regards Walter
  3. The driver is present but you need to apply proper board settings. Thanks Igor, is there a docu available for the proper board settings? Regards, Walter
  4. Thanks chwe for your comment. What I understood until now: - There is no dedicated Armbian for NanoPi Duo. - In case one use the Neo version, the XR819 WiFi driver must be installed manually. I have made an inquiry, but cannot interprete it: root@nanopineo:~# modinfo xradio_wlan filename: /lib/modules/4.13.5-sunxi/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/xradio/xradio_wlan.ko alias: xradio_core license: GPL description: XRadioTech WLAN driver core author: XRadioTech alias: sdio:c*v0020d2281* depends: mac80211,cfg80211 intree: Y name: xradio_wlan vermagic: 4.13.5-sunxi SMP mod_unload ARMv7 thumb2 p2v8 root@nanopineo:~# No hint on XR819. Regards Walter
  5. Hello, will there be a dedicated Armbian version for NanoPi Duo? I have tried Armbian_5.33.171013_Nanopineo_Ubuntu_xenial_next_4.13.5.img, which worked on the Duo. Mosquitto, Node-RED and WiringOR could be installed without problems. One thing doesnt work until now is WLAN, which is not recognized by nmcli dev. Would be fine to get a validated Duo version. Regards, Walter
  6. Hello Igor, Thanks for your reply. I have tried all three methods with no success. Now I have ordered new WLAN adapters, which are validated for NanoPi Neo. After they arrive, I will let you know wether they do work. In the meanwhile, I will work with NanoPi Duo and the embedded WLAN on this device with Friedly works well. Must have a look, wether Armbian does support this device either. Best regards Walter
  7. Hello Igor, Many thanks for your quick reaction and your support. My hope has been, that someone had already installed that driver successfully. But let's try the hard dubugging way. In the following, you will find my session with a call of armbianmonitor at the beginning and end. walter@nanopineo:~/wlan3$ pwd /home/walter/wlan3 walter@nanopineo:~/wlan3$ ls -l total 8 drwxrwxr-x 2 walter walter 4096 Oct 12 08:26 driver -rwxr-xr-x 1 walter walter 3106 Oct 12 08:26 install.sh walter@nanopineo:~/wlan3$ sudo armbianmonitor -u /var/log/armhwinfo.log has been uploaded to http://sprunge.us/BURf Please post the URL in the Armbian forum where you've been asked for. walter@nanopineo:~/wlan3$ sudo ./install.sh ################################################## Realtek Wi-Fi driver Auto installation script Novembor, 21 2011 v1.1.0 ################################################## Decompress the driver source tar ball: rtl8188C_8192C_usb_linux_v4.0.2_9000.20130911.tar.gz rtl8188C_8192C_usb_linux_v4.0.2_9000.20130911/ rtl8188C_8192C_usb_linux_v4.0.2_9000.20130911/runwpa ...lot of output cd os_dep/linux ; rm -fr *.mod.c *.mod *.o .*.cmd *.ko cd os_dep ; rm -fr *.mod.c *.mod *.o .*.cmd *.ko Authentication requested [root] for make driver: make ARCH=armv7l CROSS_COMPILE= -C /lib/modules/3.4.113-sun8i/build M=/home/walter/wlan3/driver/rtl8188C_8192C_usb_linux_v4.0.2_9000.20130911 modules make[1]: Entering directory '/usr/src/linux-headers-3.4.113-sun8i' Makefile:568: /usr/src/linux-headers-3.4.113-sun8i/arch/armv7l/Makefile: No such file or directory make[1]: *** No rule to make target '/usr/src/linux-headers-3.4.113-sun8i/arch/armv7l/Makefile'. 8. Hi, I try without success to attach the a.m. adapter to my NanoPi Neo. OS is Armbian_5.25_Nanopineo_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113 I did two trials in order to install the driver: 1. Download the Edimax driver und run the install.sh script. Result: Error in the processing of the make file. 2. Followed an comprehensive advice from the net. Result: Error in kernel generation. Question: Has somebody got this device running on the Neo? And how you have performed this? Please consider, I am just a Linux user, but (unfortenately) no expert. Any hints are very welcome. Thanks, Walter
  9. Hello, I have solved my problem by the installation of gnome-terminal. This terminal has large, more readable black fonts on white background. And it supports cut and paste! I am surprised that Armbian has such a lausy default terminal, my recommendation is: implement gnome-terminal! Best regards Walter
  10. Hello Igor, I have already tested it with a lower resolution, but it dos'nt look good. There are so many fonts on the system and I am disappointed not to use a proper one. I need a crisp display for screenshots even with black characters on white background, because I write an article about MQTT and Node-RED. Best regards Walter
  11. Hello Igor, Many thanks for your quick reply. Image: Ubuntu Xenial Legacy 3.4.113 Console: HDMI armhwinfo.log : attached Hope this helps. Walter armhwinfo.log
  12. Hello, I have started on Armbian Ubuntu on a Orange Pi PC and have some difficults to follow the tiny font on the terminal emulator. In order to change the fontsize, I used the command "dpkg-reconfigure console-setup" and choosed the Terminus font with a bigger size. But no effect after reboot. With which trick a modification can be performed? What is with the fonts marked with "framebuffer"? If a modification is not possible with the Armbian terminal emulator, can I use an alternative? So I miss a property button as available on Raspian. Thanks for yor help and best regards Walter
