lord @balbes150 after try two images for ki pro, I am in need of some suggestions for you from my ignorance. 1.- Images have worked well, but frist, permissions aren't fine in the system, 1023 user and group in different places. 2.- Second and more important, trying to android stock or coreelec return neither emmc or sdcard have worked nicely. network in general was a nightmare, eth0 and wifi, i have had search for armbian image with 3.14.x kernel and flash dualboot and start image, after that network have started work nicely with android stock, no tested coreelec. i suggest come back some 3.14.x images and post please, to avoid headaches. i'll like use armbian with 3.14.x with web browser for netflix and kodi with full graphic acceleration. thank you for your time y effort.

If after install 5.94 in ki pro, reinstall by recovery stock rom, stay en bootloop, sorry, bad image flashed.

It only need dtb and boot.img (kernel) to load. Manually boot into recovery and execute aml zip, Signature verification failed, I'm surrender. edit: 5.94 has worked, time to test

Example, you can run windows 10 or Linux (linuxium), I believe fedora can run out the box in z83-II with 64 bits Intel atom 8350 cpu. And I talk about z83-ii but sure there is some more boards.

Sorry for not topic, but why you get odroid for desktop when you can buy atom x-64 mini PC with no problem for desktop task? My self have raspberry, orangepiplus2e and z83-II and for desktop there is not color.

Now, with only microsd happen same thing, no btrfs errors obviusly, but orangepi plus 2e go down time to time, light are on, but don't have ssh access or ping. Please someone could show some light in it, thank you. Edit: sorry, I forget say my wlan config is make in plain /etc/network/interfaces, with fixed IP, the SBC work fine up to go down.

oh, i think not. I'm using server ubuntu image with kernel dev (mainline), for better and more updated btrfs suport, If you use with desktop, maybe stay for legacy better. Someone can apport more light to it.

Well, for me, after try setup wifi on file armbian conf for fisrt start, i gave up and ended setup on the old way. Never i connected for armbian firt file setup (maybe me problem), network manager was a nightmare for me and nmtui, ufff, this is more easy? Maybe, in file armbian_first_run.txt, only copy network conf to /etc/network/interfaces. I'd like make a question, in server images, why not remove network-manager and dependencies? i do it without any problem. I setup /etc/network/interfaces with my network settings params, i think more easy, less troubles and less resources hungry. Thank you, this is only my opinion.

That i want to say is, than if you want streaming Multimedia, server streaming should be your option. I was searching vnc for long time like you, and after know plex and emby, the search is over and there is not come back.

Plex, emby or whatever other out there, are by far more friendliness.

So, I'm storing in 64gb sdcard. Some time ago, I test hdd usb, but perfomance wasn't good. I was reading for some time here in forum and tanks to @tkaiser, definitely I bought this board, the idea is changing raspberry for orange pi plus 2e. Edit: what's os version do you recommend for it?

Thank you @lanefu. I have 3 amcrest ip2m_841 and 3 Wansview ncm625ga. All cameras recording 24/7, 5 fps and audio. Server --> raspberry pi 2 Os --> dietpi Sdcard overclocked. Right now Amcrest record to vstfpd (it's going to be changed by proftpd). Wansview cameras record method is in bash script with ffmpeg and systemd for start recording. Record time for file is min. Some shell scripts for delete files when directory match x kb. Running by Cron. Plex is running in server mode. Transcode very well and I can connect from whatever through vpn and watch files.

The hardware decode and transcode for Plex, look like goin to be a good fight in Orange pi plus 2e.

Hi, I was reading for some days and don't know what's is best SBC for recording (maybe orange pi plus 2e @tkaiser). Right now, I have 6 1080p IP cameras recording 5 fps 1024 kbs bit rate in a raspberry pi 2 with raspbian and a edimax 7811 wifi. 3 cameras record over ftp. 3 cameras record by shell scripts using ffmpeg only copy not transcode. I like better bandwidth and if possible hardware decode 1080p for streaming online Videos. Thank you for your time.
