  1. I hope we will get better driver support for Linux after the release of Khadas VIM2 (Developing board based on Amlogic S912) Can we use Android Mali drivers with libhybris? or that is not supported now?
  2. WOW. I really appreciate you and your efforts to support this OS on Amlogic based devices. Even downloaded the 20170701 release before you write this post. Thank you very much. From this forum and the other 2 forums OK. Let's try it right now. UPDATE: Now the WiFi Works! (Beelink GT1 S912/G912) By the way. I like the new first boot method, which makes the device restart it self. and the new login screen, which make me able to login as a root user
  3. So, This is what I did First. I extracted dtb file from the working android using this method: And I found that the 1GB version is the same. didn't change. but my version (which is 2GB) it has a little bit of a change. So, I took the new dtb file and run with it. Unfortunately, no progress has been made. Second, I did "sudo modprobe dhd" and the command give me an error (No such device). But the wired thing. after this command, I get a notification that tell me eth0 is connected (I never connected it) So, I write the command "dmesg" to see if there any difference. and this is what I get
  4. I'm using one of the fastest USB3.0 Flash Dive in the planet. (250MB/s reading, 190MB/s writing) I have to find a new SD card memory. Since my 64GB C10 become dead without any known reason
  5. Actually I didn't use SD card in that try. I used USB (Slow speed. kind of) I did tried with the one with kernel 4.9 and that version give a black screen before the initial boot console screen. Can this device play some java games? or not because no 3d acceleration driver.
  6. Still no sign of wifi even after trying with latest build
  7. with command "dmesg | less" the only lines I see about wifi, those lines [ 2.316859] aml_wifi wifi.33: [wifi_dev_probe] no power_on_pin2 [ 2.316875] aml_wifi wifi.33: [wifi_dev_probe] set pwm as 32k output [ 2.316929] aml_wifi wifi.33: [wifi_dev_probe] interrupt_pin=241 [ 2.316944] aml_wifi wifi.33: [wifi_dev_probe] irq_num=100, irq_trigger_type=1 [ 2.316962] aml_wifi wifi.33: [wifi_dev_probe] power_on_pin=240 [ 2.316975] aml_wifi wifi.33: [wifi_dev_probe] clock_32k_pin=0 [ 2.317354] aml_wifi wifi.33: [wifi_setup_dt] wifi_setup_dt [ 2.317406] aml_wifi wifi.33: [wifi_setup_dt] interrupt_pin(241) [ 2.317429] aml_wifi wifi.33: [wifi_setup_dt] power_on_pin(240) in the initial boot console. I didn't even see anything about wifi. BTW. I'm using Custom android rom (SuperCeleron V8B) with his custom kernel. does it affect the wifi in linux when booting from usb?
  8. What a great project. I did installed Armbian_5.27_S9xxx_Debian_jessie_3.14.29_xfce_20170531.img.xz and then Armbian_5.27_S9xxx_Ubuntu_xenial_3.14.29_mate_20170531.img.xz on USB Drive. just to know which suit for me. Debian works faster but couldn't play the 2 video files in the desktop. Ubuntu works slower but play those 2 video files good. the problem I have with the WIFI. I couldn't get it to work (in both distro) BT and LAN cable works fine. And when I copy dtb to boot folder, LAN also stop working. and the video become choppy when full screen. BTW. I did use it without keyboard. managed to get to desktop using SSH connection from another computer Beelink GT1 G912 (Same as S912)
