  1. 3.93 Mbps download 30.9 Mbps upload Latency: 27 ms Server: Toronto Your Internet speed is slow Your Internet connection should be able to handle one device at a time streaming a video. If multiple devices are using this connection at the same time, you may run into some slowdowns. I just ran speedtest.net & speakeasy, and the above test. I got 60 & 70 as the download speeds, but they both stopped before the upload test ran. 30.9 is the upload i should be getting , but now the tests just stop after the the download test and do not run the upload test at all. the test above shows a 3.93 download speed.
  2. attached the output of armbianmonitor -U armbianmonitor.txt
  3. Well, that's what I got , and it said paste this link into the forum. Maybe I should have used -U? "Tested the cable" meant that I used a good ethernet cable, one that I know would provide the high speed. I said that because I had a cable laying around that would not support the high speed. I just tried armbianmonitor -U, and got a lot of output I'll paste that but I also got a lot of errors. yes and i used same cable for both.
  4. A speed test on my Laptop shows >300 MBPS download speed. when i run the same test using my orange pi 2e+ on the same ethernet GB switch , I get 50 MbPS download. I disabled wifi. tested the cable. What's going on?
  5. Rob Tieger's solution works - i tried it, and now chromium works with no problem. The next post says the bug was fixed, but i have not tried that yet. If anyone else knows that is true, let me know. if this is the latest then the others who had the problem wouldn't have!
  6. but firefox seems to work fine ...? i have since installled that . also i noticed in some examples, the armbian-config allows you to boot from emmc but work from sd, but i don't see that option on mine. Plus when booting from the sd now, chrome still does not work. is it possible that the lastest chrome update is bad?
  7. I installed armbian to my emmc using the nand-sata-install command - after that none of my chrome apps work. even if i boot from SD card chrome just flashes and goes away. also the chromium diags crash. however all other apps seem to work. Even net beans seems to run well. What can i do to get a browser working?
  8. I tried vino - but then i couldn't get it to connect .. so i uninstalled and installed tightvnc and xdrp
  9. do these allow login from rdp? which do you like best?
  10. I've been playing with remote desktop from windows 10 to my orange pi plus 2e, finally got it working correctly using this forum tightvnc and xdrp . i was having trouble with it send all commands to the main user instead of the current remote session. the symptom of that was chrome didnt seem to work remotely, but when i checked the main screen many chrome windows were open. so i uninstalled vino, tightvnc, etc. and reinstalled tight and xdrp voila! ok so now chrome opens correctly so i went to test youtube which seemed a bit slower.. redraw etc. and no sound! so now my question is - does this remote setup support sound ? I have heard you can't watch movies... but what about youtube + sound?
  11. ok I'll answer my own question since i figured it out. Start terminal emulator, type su and enter the superuser password. then type passwd <user> and enter the user password. voila
  12. When i set up armbian after first boot, when the screen went to the bottom line, the resolution would not allow me to see the bottom line, so when it asked me to set a password for the user, i hit return - it allowed me to enter a blank password, but now when i try to config for sudo, it does not accept a blank password. If i reinstall the same thing will happen. is there anyway to change or set the admin password from a blank password? 1234 does not work or the new password i set up for root also does not work.
