  1. Erase flash from multitool isn't work. After reboot android still boots. I was able to boot armbian from a flash drive, but first I need to boot MXQ with the sd card (multitool) and the flash drive (armbian) inserted together. After a second, I remove sd card (multitool) and armbian boots from pendrive. /edit Succesfull install armbian on emmc using dd command. Big Thx for you boys
  2. I give up... @MattWestB which armbian image did you use? Is it the official image or modified by you? Could you make it available? I also only care about armbian with ssh and ethernet.
  3. WOW You are so great! Multitool works with SSH! OMG! I think I made a mistake. I flash img with legancy kernel on eMMC. Now box does not start. Multitool from SD also not. I should flash current image? /edit uff... reset pins works I flash current kernel img - same as above
  4. Thank you for the hint. I think libreelec is not seeing the internal memory. I see "mmcblk0" (2 partitions) - that's the sd card (libreelec) And "sda" - is a flash drive (there I have an armbian.img image)
  5. I use this box only as Pi-Hole DNS server so I don't need newer kernel. I upgraded debian from stretch to buster without any problems. I guess changing to a higher kernel shouldn't be a problem but it's not a priority.
  6. No. It is possible without the GUI. You can enable it in the kernel settings. I run libreelec with ssh enabled on this box. I upload dmesg.log from libreelec in an earlier post.
  7. I honestly don't need an image over hdmi. A working armbian ssh and LAN is enough for me. Is there any other way to install armbian than multitool? Can multitool work without graphical mode for example via ssh? Is it possible to run armbian from SD card like on AMLogic? Is it possible to use libreelec with ssh to install armbian?
  8. I tested Armbian 5.67 with kernel 3.10.108 - it worked just as well as 5.37 Since there is no difference in performance (I did tests) I decided to go back to the older version because it had an install script on NAND. Installation was successful.
  9. I have MXQ on S805 (Originally Android 4.4) I use Armbian (5.37 debian stretch 3.10.99 server) as Pi-Hole DNS server. It runs from SD card stably for 3 years. I wonder if there is any sense to upgrade armbian to higher version. Are newer versions more efficient or stable? Which version is the latest for S805. I think that android 4.4 is not useful anymore so I'm thinking about installing on internal memory. Do I understand correctly that it is enough to run install.sh script in root homedir?
  10. dmesg.log from libreelec dmesg.log After adding "video=HDMI-A-1:D" dmesg2.log /btw I found an almost identical motherboard but my board have S9012p wifi and GCAI GPBD81S42MFLB-T3E (EMCP 8GB+1GB mlc 221ball ddr3) YT & link to rom
  11. SSH is disabled by default. It can be enable in menu... btw/ Android has root so maybe some root/ files would be useful?
  12. Yes. Red lights and yellow blinking but no video on hdmi. I try with libreELEC with different .img - same problem (no video) but I know that KODI starts up because the BOX gets an IP address using (Alfawise A8, RK3228B, DDR2) .img and (MXQ 4K Pro, RK3228A, DDR3) .img So i think it is RK3228x. How or what can I extract the needed information from a running android? Only via otg usb cable? Any application for android?
  13. Hello. I own an MQX (S805). I run amrbian with pi-hole on it - works great. I got an MXQ PRO 4K (rk322x) and I also want to have amrbian on it. The system info says it is android 10.1... but KODI 17.6 says it's android 7.1.2 Kernel version 3.10.104 ding@gxt #83 Wed Mar 10 14:30:56 CST 2021 Build MBOX-userdebug 10.1 NHG47K eng.ding. 20211030.143309 test-keys I have a sticker on my motherboard: R29-MXQ-LP3 and the writing on the board: R29_MXQ_LP3_V2.3_00908 Multitool - not sure if it starts - no picture. I tried with other .dtb files pulled from Amrbian Buster - no image. Any suggestions please?
  14. Hi. I have got "all black" MXQ (OTT MXQ) AM_MXQ_A 20150825 - on board MXQ 2016-1-6 1G+8G - on sticker I am using Armbian_5.32_S805_Ubuntu_xenial_3.10.33_mate_20170821 and it works with meson8b_m200_1G dtb version (other not tested). It works fine but CPU freq. stand on 792MHz (no more no less) also in performance mode. YT not playable. Video test does not work smoothly. Any solution?
