  1. I assume a normal reset in the Android system wouldn't work, right? Because firmwares for these kind of boxes are usually non-existent, and I don't have any backup.
  2. I'm unable to make this work. I have what I believe is some random generic box (this one), with an Amlogic S905X. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, or perhaps I'm missing a step or something. This is what I do: 1- Burn Armbian_20.08_Arm-64_focal_current_5.7.16_desktop.img.xz into a MicroSD with rufus. 2- In the BOOT partition, modify the 'extlinux.conf' and comment out everything except 'FDT /dtb/amlogic/meson-gxl-s905x-p212.dtb' and the APPEND that is there below (I honestly don't know how this thing works, I don't know if I have to change something or even if I should use it, sometimes I left it out with no difference). 3- Renamed the 'u-boot-s905x-912' into 'u-boot.ext'. When I try to boot the SD card in the tv box nothing happens, I go directly to the Android system. I have another SD card with 'Alexelec' that boots fine. This box doesn't have a reset button, I tried flashing 'aml_autoscript' but it says 'error' after rebooting. What I'm missing? Regards!
  3. Ok, thank you for your help. I'm giving libreelec a try, lets see how it goes, I'll keep a backup of armbian just in case I need to go back. Regards.
  4. Hello, I just tested on an alternative SD to install libreelec and AceStream works just fine. It's a different Kodi version though (17.6?) compared to the one in the Ubuntu image. Sorry to keep asking but is there something that I could do for the Ubuntu setup or should I switch to libreelec? Because I think Plex can work too from libreelec, but other things I have, I don't know... Thank you for your answer btw. Regards.
  5. Hello, I don't know if this is the correct thread to post this; if it's not, apologies in advance. I have a Mini M8S box and I've been trying to fine tune it with the armbian Ubuntu Mate image from here (great work by the way), I have almost everything running correctly; mostly used for Plex Server and Kodi. Is the last one which is making things harder... I use Kodi mostly for streaming services; I can watch Twitch perfectly fine, however whenever I try to watch something through AceStream, I get a black screen. I can fix this turning off amcodec hw acceleration in settings, but the performance is not good because these boxes aren't powerful enough. Is there a solution for this? I'm not too confident, because if I can't use hw acceleration then I can't see those streams, and there's not much else I can do in this situation... Regards.
