I'm getting an strange error. When I connect to the tv-box (MXIII 4k S812) via ssh it's tell me to change the root password and when I try to set the new password it's close the ssh session immediately. I'm getting the same error both ubunto and debian versions 5.44, 5.64, 5.73 and 5.76 it's giving me the same error. I tryed with other dtb.img files (mxiii plus and others, with the same error or not boot). The log from putty. Hello. I recently've got installed the last version for Amlogic 812(MXIII-G). This rom works ok and the only thing what i want is install the OS over the emmc. I did try it the armbian-config setup but i haven't the option in the system menu to install it. Some idea ?

Hi balbes, I tryed to use meson8m2_n200_2G_MXIIIPlus.dtb but i don't know if that installed correctly. I copied the file meson8m2_n200_2G_MXIIIPlus.dtb to the main root of the SD and then renamed it to dtb.img. Then in the android system do update from external method. Is that the correct method to install your images ? anyway the hdmi output doesn't work either, so the most sure is what i am doing some wrong. You know/have some manual step by step to install that on amlogic s812 ?

Hello. I have a TV-Box MXIII (amlogic s812). I installed Armbian_5.37_S812_Ubuntu_xenial_3.10.108_mate_20180112.img. The installation has been complete correctly and i can get into the system from SSH. The problem is with the usb ports. This device have two usb ports 2.0 and one OTG but they don't run. When i restart the device the usb port run for a segs ( i know it because the usb led turn on for a segs) but when the system is started i can't use the usb ports. Seems like haven't power or something. Hello. I have a TV-Box Android MXIII-G. Recently i installed armbian (3.10.108) from this image https://yadi.sk/d/wc2jqGsHuKy48. The image has been installed pretty good, i can get into the system with ssh service and apparently the system work good less the usb ports. This device have two ports USB 2.0 and one port OTG. I was read on the forum what you have to turn on them from echo on > /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb1/power/level but i can't do that. I can't create the file level on the folder power and i don't have it on there, when i try to write the file on that folder i get this error: [ Error writing lock file ./.level.swp: No such file or directory ]. Can someone help me ? thanks
