  2. I tried install armbian-firmware-full. Nothing happens, wifiusb firmware missing. But i can see firmware rt73.bin in /lib/firmware/
  3. Just install firmware. Nothing else. I guess i need firmware rt73.bin. And i have it. but doesn't work. I tried manually add module: modprobe rt73usb, then rtx00usb, rtx00lib and was loaded without errors. I download rt73 and tried install it, before, tried install linux-firmware all-043.deb, firmware-ralink all.deb. I think problem with modul rt2x00. Dmesg show : rt2x00lib_request_firmware: Error - failed to request Firmware. full usb 2-1.4: Product: 802.11 bg WLAN usb 2-1.4: Manufacturer: Ralink usb 2-1.4: reset high-speed USB device number 8 using sw-ehci ieee80211 phy2: Selected rate control algorithm 'minstrel_ht' Registered led device: rt73usb-phy2::radio Registered led device: rt73usb-phy2::assoc Registered led device: rt73usb-phy2::quality phy2 -> rt2x00lib_request_firmware: Error - Failed to request Firmware
  4. are you sure you have a wl167g v2 with RT73 Chipset? https://wikidevi.com/wiki/ASUS_WL-167g_v2 = rt73usb because there is also a v1 - https://wikidevi.com/wiki/ASUS_WL-167g_v1 = rt2500usb and v3 - https://wikidevi.com/wiki/ASUS_WL-167g_v3 = RTL8188SU which version of armbian do you use? legacy or mainline kernel? I dont know if it helps, but normally installed is the package "armbian-firmware" There seem to be a "bigger" package called "armbian-firmware-full" and a special package for realtek called "firmware-realtek" armbian-firmware - Linux firmware armbian-firmware-full - Linux firmware-full firmware-realtek - Binary firmware for Realtek wired/wifi/BT adapters You could try to install firmware-realtek or armbian-firmware-full for getting the firmware of your rt73 Yes, it is ASUS WL-167g v2, ID 0b05:1723 (Now i see, driver Ralink RT2571W) Armbian version 5.38 stable. (ubuntu desktop 16.04 kernel 3.4.113-sun7i)
  5. Hi.Can you help me fix this problem.Can't use usbwifi wl167g(need like reciever). Network-manager show(wifi enable) but firmware missing. Tried to install RT73_linux_STA_DRV1.0.3.6, have error, when step make, rtmp_main.c error "-march=i686". In new version desktop ubuntu wifi working, but shows slow video(I guess many improvements "use" a lot of resources).
  6. found the answer. easy way in armbian, first of all do backup /boot/bin/bananapi.bin then go to armbian config, System->Fexedit-> change to (start only tv out rca. ): ___________________________________________________ [disp_init] screen0_output_type = 2 screen0_output_mode = 14 ________________________________________________________ It's for NTSC. NTSC 14 PAL 11 that's all. different way For edit Bananapi.bin need convert bin ->fex, after convert then fex->bin. 1Backup bananapi 2 bananapi.bin convert to bananapi.fex with special utilites bin2fex(in linux or in windows(easy winbinfex you can download here) ) 3 Edit fex [disp_init] screen0_output_type = 2 screen0_output_mode = 14 4 convert fex->bin and copy to /boot/bin/bananapi.bin All Modes 0 480i 1680*1050 1 576i 1440*900 2 480p 1360*768 3 576p 1280*1024 4 720p50 1024*768 5 720p60 800*600 6 1080i50 640*480 7 1080i60 8 1080p24 9 1080p50 10 1080p60 1920*1080 11 pal 1280*720 14 ntsc WinBinFex.zip
