Just for the sake of documentation: To install the missing AT-SPI provider, I needed to install a package called "at-spi2-core". To make auto show / hide of the keyboard work, I needed to install (besides onboard) also these packages: gir1.2-appindicator3-0.1 gir1.2-atspi-2.0 onboard-data mousetweaks

Dear armbian experts For a kiosk-like system with a touch screen only, I need a virtual keyboard that pops up on demand and hides again when not needed. I have installed successfully the onboard keyboard package, see https://launchpad.net/onboard. The software has all the desired features and works fine so far. Only auto show / hide does not work, i. e. something seems to be wrong with the communication between onboard and other applications like Firefox etc. I think, onboard needs for that an AT-SPI D-bus / AT-SPI registry installed to send and receive messages. I tried to activate "Applications -> Settings -> Accessibility -> Assistive Technologies -> Enable assistive technologies" but only got an error "No AT-SPI provider was found on your system". I guess auto show / hide would work when an AT-SPI provider is installed? If so: How can I install this AT-SPI provider / AT-SPI D-bus / AT-SPI registry and keep the running software parts to a minimum so as not to affect system performance too much? I really do not need braille support, speech output etc. but only the parts which enable intersoftware communication. Thank you very much and keep up the brilliant work! Hi Igor very nice: The new image worked perfectly and I am really impressed. When using the images for Raspbian or Debian, the screen ouput was very blurry using the converter. With armbian, it is razor sharp, right from the beginning. Wow.

Hi I only have an old monitor, and I thus need to use a HDMI-to-VGA-converter to work with my Orange Pi PC Plus. When powering the Orange Pi on, the green LED on the board is constantly ligthened. On the monitor, I get a black screen, after 4 s (or so) a totally red screen. No text. No graphics. Then after about 15 s, on the board the red LED starts to double blink. The red screen remains for ever. I have tested the Raspbian and Debian images available on http://www.orangepi.org/downloadresources/. They work fine with the converter. Alas, the preferred OS, "Orange OS" armbian, seems not to work. Board: Orange Pi PC Plus Image: Armbian_5.38_Orangepipcplus_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113_desktop.img downloaded from https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-pc-plus/ I'm using a high quality SD card from Transcend (32GB, *400, class 10). The SD card was checked with H2testw: Okay! The SC card was formatted (no quick format) with "SD Formater". The checksum of the downloaded image had been verified with 7-Zip: Okay! The image was burnt and successfully validated using Etcher. And I only get a red screen when powering the system on :-( What can I do?
