  1. Additional issue: After configuration of hostapd appear mistake in log file. It look like, that this error/warning haven't any affect on functionality of hostapd, because AC wok fine: root@wormhole:~# ip a 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000 link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever 2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq master br0 state UP group default qlen 1000 link/ether 02:42:c1:f2:5c:61 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 3: wlan0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue master br0 state UP group default qlen 1000 link/ether 04:42:1a:49:d7:c5 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 4: br0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UP group default qlen 1000 link/ether da:02:a4:43:6a:53 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff inet 192.168.1.201/24 brd 192.168.1.255 scope global dynamic br0 valid_lft 86130sec preferred_lft 86130sec root@wormhole:~# iw wlan0 info Interface wlan0 ifindex 3 wdev 0x1 addr 04:42:1a:49:d7:c5 ssid Wormhole5GHz type AP wiphy 0 channel 36 (5180 MHz), width: 80 MHz, center1: 5210 MHz txpower 19.00 dBm multicast TXQ: qsz-byt qsz-pkt flows drops marks overlmt hashcol tx-bytes tx-packets 0 0 218 0 0 0 0 36672 218 Dec 01 08:25:11 wormhole systemd[1]: systemd-hostnamed.service: Succeeded. 4. I found "how to" for chroot of armbian-armhf image on my virtual kvm-amd64 server. There i can compile patched hostapd with forced 40Mhz and create deb file. This deb package, then I can distribute it on all my orange pi zero routers. 5. I used https://github.com/piter75/armbian-build for building images via vm-kvm for my Orange servers. Now I want compile application hostapd with forcing 40MHz, but I don't want build/compile it on orange pi servers. Is possible use environment armbian-build for building mentioned application? Or some docker container with armbian in which I can mentioned application to compile?
  6. Hello, I have problem with "Orange Pi Zero Plus" and functionality of Relay module (electrical circuit= normally closed). Relay module is attached on pin/port number "0". When I set up pin number "0" from "OFF" to "OUT" state with command: gpio export 0 out state is changed from OFF to OUT and parameter in column "V" is "0". It should mean that relay stays turned of. +------+-----+----------+------+---+ | GPIO | wPi | Name | Mode | V | +------+-----+----------+------+---+ | 12 | 0 | SDA.0 | OUT | 0 | Problem is, that relay immediately after execution of mentioned command enables(turns on) output electrical circuit. Relay module is behaving like it was turned on, however it is not supposed to be (since 0= turned off). I can change this inconvenient situation with command for turning on (1=turned on) and output is then turned off. These commands work, but they work in reversed way and in result everything works reversed. gpio write 0 1 gpio write 0 0 >>> should turn off output circuit, for me it turns circuit ON gpio write 0 1 >>> should turn on output circuit, for me it turns circuit OFF I hope this was clear, it is hard to describe what is happening. Can anyone please advise me on what is going wrong and how to fix my issue? Thank you
  7. I found solution on this link: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=873123 For me was useful point two(point one was applied to): If not, run lpadmin -p <printer> -R usb-unidir-default and then lpadmin -p <printer> -o usb-no-reattach-default=true
  8. Next issue: Cups and usb-printer I had on same OrangePiZero configured usb printer (HP Laser P1566) on arbian(debian) via cups. Printer worked very well however, on OS I had many problems ,with network, wifi and etc. and so I migrated OS to armbian(ubuntu). All problems looked like they were fixed however printer works really weird. When I print different tasks/jobs, then from Cups side are all marked as completed, but printer prints actully only first job and others are ignored by printer. Printer prints again only if I turn it off/on or after I unplug usb-cable reconnect it. Here is example from syslog: Fist task was printed second no. Both task are in Cups queue mark as copleted. 9. For understanding: Second USB port, can be used only for connection between NAS board and some PC or orange server which doesn't have 13 pins port like Orange Pi Zero? And devices such as usb-printer, usb-camera, usb-storage or usb-hub can be used only with first usb port?
  10. Next issue I have on other Orange Pi Zero. I have there installed extended NAS module(https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Orange-Pi-Zero-NAS-Expansion-board-Interface-board-Development-board-beyond-Raspberry-Pi/32789632568.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dSqneog) which includes two additional usb ports and sata port. Problem is, that one usb port looks broken. When I connect there usb-printer or usb-cmera, then this devices aren't visible via lsusb and connection to sata disk is lost. Is there any possibility to test whether it is hardware issue or bad configuration of linux?
  11. I bought a USB wifi adapted with Chipset:Ralink RT5370. Seem, that all work very fine, but only one little problem. Network interfaces eth0 and wlan0 are under a bridge br0. Bridge work, but NetworkManager automatically add other one connection/profile to eth0. I tried to delete it via nmcli and nmtui, but after reboot mentioned connection appear again. I have one static ip-addres on br0 and one via dhcp on eth0. I found partly solution to disable this connection via nmcli/mntui, then ip-addres on eth0 isn't active, but a connection/profile is in list as inactive. Is there some possibility block automatically creating of connection/profiles in NetworkManager?
  12. Same issue was reported in redhat bugzilla https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1570903. Issue should be solved with patch in version wpa_supplicant-2.6-16. I am not sure, but I think, that in Armbian is some older version(now I don't known check it) of mentioned package, but it is relevant with distribution based on RHEL. Probably is needed raise some bug for Armbian, but I haven't idea how to do. System reported same issue: netlink: 'wpa_supplicant': attribute type 213 has an invalid length.
  13. It can be wpa_supplicant. and parameter disable_scan_offload. But config file of wpa_supplicant not exist and service is managed via NM.
  14. Kernel should be new: root@orion2:~# uname -a Linux orion2 4.19.25-sunxi #5.78 SMP Mon Apr 8 07:46:22 CEST 2019 armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/Linux
  15. I tried configure one USB-WIFI(which I had home): >>> ID 0bda:8171 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. All look correct, but device stay DOWN and isn't possible to brink it to UP. It look, that will be problem find some USB-WIFI device which will be correct to work with Armbian kernel.
  16. I completely reinstalled OS to Linux 4.19.25-sunxi, but same problem with wpa persist. But it look, that reason for problem isn't driver of wifi, but kernel, because error message note, that "offload WPS Probe" isn't supported in kernel: Apr 23 10:27:42 orion2 wpa_supplicant[660]: Device is trying to offload WPS Probe Response while not supporting this Apr 23 10:27:42 orion2 kernel: [ 73.846396] netlink: 'wpa_supplicant': attribute type 213 has an invalid length. 17. I used old kednel, because I read on some other topics, that driver xradio_wlan work there without problem. Could You please advice/recommend me some supported chip(usb wireless) which work without kernel recompilation and driver is included there?
  18. Hello guys, I configured bridge via nmcli/nmtui br0. Slave devices of bridge are eth0 and wlan0(as wifi access point). OS: Armbian_5.59_Orangepizero_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113 root@orion2:~# nmcli c s NAME UUID TYPE DEVICE bridge-br0 fff57bce-6051-458d-9394-7101741af59f bridge br0 bridge-slave-eth0 25720542-2bdd-498e-992e-4415385673d5 802-3-ethernet eth0 bridge-slave-wlan0 ed8b07bf-a793-4717-8c99-2e84d54af672 802-11-wireless wlan0 Configuration looks fine, but when I try login to AP, my smart phone shows error message: "Authentication issue" , and on side of server: orion2 wpa_supplicant[1017]: WPA: wpa_sm_step() called recursively Device is trying to offload WPS Probe Response while not supporting this Configuration of AP: Could you please help me with solving wpa_supplicant issue? Thank you, Marek
  19. Problem was, that via same file /etc/rc.local was started dnsmasq which crashed and rc-local.service didn't continue with starting wvdial , Hello All, Could someone please help me to start command wvdial during booting-process? When I star wvdial command from command line, LTE USB modem is started and ppp0 interface is activated and everything works fine, but I want it to be started automatically during booting-process. I tried add wvdial to end of file /etc/rc.local, but wasn't successful. I also tried to add record to file /etc/network/interfaces as: auto ppp0 iface ppp0 inet wvdial None of these mentioned above helped. After the start of network, interface ppp0 wasnt present. Thank you very much! Marek
  20. Can somebody help me correctly configure two nodes bridge via network-manager or armbian-config? Node are wlan0 and eth1. Wlan0 is manages via hostapd and configured was via "armbian-config". Bridge were configure manually in /etc/network/interfaces: auto br0 iface br0 inet static bridge_ports eth1 wlan0 address 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 But network-manager sees only one node eth1. Wlan0 isn't active/managed via NM: root@kraken:~# nmcli con show NAME UUID TYPE DEVICE br0 ea0b5fc2-c262-47a2-a1f8-7b186860d3ea bridge br0 eth0 5df08611-abea-491c-af88-4733fba17e69 802-3-ethernet eth0 eth1 085af0b4-59e7-4a73-9498-2f363dec7398 802-3-ethernet eth1 Ifupdown (eth0) 681b428f-beaf-8932-dce4-687ed5bae28e 802-3-ethernet -- Ifupdown (eth1) 7b635ed6-2640-7ad8-675d-744db12dd9fa 802-3-ethernet -- bridge-slave-eth1 4d4c214f-ec45-4a23-b761-2437b4b9d9c8 802-3-ethernet -- bridge-slave-wlan0 0b158612-8aab-44bc-9cf8-691f8bbda227 802-11-wireless -- DEVICE TYPE STATE CONNECTION br0 bridge connected br0 eth0 ethernet connected eth0 eth1 ethernet connected eth1 lo loopback unmanaged -- ppp0 ppp unmanaged -- wlan0 wifi unmanaged -- Problem is, that eth1 sometimes loses link. Next issue is, that only yellow led control is blinking on eth1, while green led control is not alight(short time during booting green led light).
  21. I don't known to find in "armbian-config" nothing similar as "IIRC'. When I start mentioned tool and set up network part and pick up eth1, so there isn't any options for "bridge". Yes it look on mishmash configuration, because AccessPoint was configured via "armbian-config" but bridge configuration were done via brctl and not via NM or armbian-config. Probably turn off MN can solve this issue?
  22. Here is output with link for downloading: root@kraken:/etc/network# armbianmonitor -u System diagnosis information will now be uploaded to http://ix.io/1wPj Main config file /etc/network/interfaces was edit manual, not via armbian-config, because there isn't possibility for raising of bridge.
  23. Hello All, I have configured OrangePiR1 as router. There are three network interfaces, two as wired and one wifi(hotspot). eth0 serve for access to internet(via ppp/adsl) and eth1+Wlan0 for internal network. Interfaces eth1 and wlan0 are in bridge br0. Problem is, that interface eth1 sometimes loses connection/link(cable and switch were checked ). Next nonstandard behavior of eth1 is, that only yellow led control is blinking, while green led control is not alight. Network interfaces were configured via file /etc/network/interfaces. However, when I checked network manager nmcli, I saw, that some connections are configured there too (there can be some conflict).
  24. I found some solution, but isn't very clever. I add path to iptables script direct to file /etc/ppp/ip-up.d/0clampmss /firewall/kraken.fw script started as is expected, when ppp0 is UP.
  25. Firewall/router was build and works fine, but I have some trouble with ppp0 device. After starting/rebooting system interface ppp0 doesn't start immediately, but after some short time, approximately 5-15 seconds and then it is OK. Problem is, that I don't know how to create/write correct service file for starting firewall script, which will wait/test until ppp0 device is up. I tried some things, but service started before ppp0 interface(don't wait till ppp0 is up). I need to add to service file some option for waiting on ppp0 device: root@kraken:~# cat /lib/systemd/system/fwbuilder.service [Unit] Description=Fwbuilder Wants=network-online.target BindsTo=sys-devices-virtual-net-ppp0.device After=network.target network-online.target sys-devices-virtual-net-ppp0.device [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target WantedBy=network-online.target [Service] ExecStart=/etc/init.d/fwbuilder start #ExecStop=/etc/init.d/fwbuilder stop Here is status when service started before ppp0: root@kraken:~# systemctl status fwbuilder ● fwbuilder.service - Fwbuilder Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/fwbuilder.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) Active: inactive (dead) since Sun 2018-09-09 16:10:38 CEST; 57s ago Process: 1585 ExecStart=/etc/init.d/fwbuilder start (code=killed, signal=TERM) Main PID: 1585 (code=killed, signal=TERM) Sep 09 16:10:38 kraken systemd[1]: Started Fwbuilder.
