  1. I have a board of Orange Pi One Plus with installed pihole (https://pi-hole.net/). Armbian image is Armbian Buster with latest updates. PRETTY_NAME="Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)" Each 2-4 hours the device hangs and not able to respond to any command until I reboot it. The max uptime that I was able to gain was ~25 hours. I've changed power adapters, powered it via microUSB - same result. Looking at the logs I really have no clue why it stucks. Attaching debug, kern and syslog. Probably someone may pinpoint what's going on. P.S. Previous OPi One (not Plus) worked for that purpose like a charm. Didn't know that bying Opi One+ for upgrade will buy me loosing my patience also) syslogkern.logdebug
  2. My PineH64, as well as OrangePI one plus (H6) were working fine using 4.18.rc7-bionic till I have tried apt upgrade I'm getting the following error on both. Any ideas? 3. Hello everyone, I want to do something simple with my OrangePi One Plus. That is to connect a bluetooth speaker and play wireless from the Pi with a CSR8510 A10 USB dongel. Btw: connecting to non-audio bluetooth devices works. Connecting to the JBL Go2 from Armbian-config does also not work... Does someone of you a sugestion to make a2dp working?
  4. I have an Orange Pi One Plus with the H6 chip in it and I'm quite happy with how well it's supported by Armbian. I haven't really had any problems with it. I do have one question, though. I'm using armbianmonitor to "-m" monitor the machine and I notice that the temps are always pretty hot. Even at idle (480MHz) it still shows 72C. That seems higher than I would have expected. Is this normal, expected behavior? I understand that the SoC thermal monitoring code in the kernel is pretty new and therefore might not be perfect, yet. So, I thought I'd ask. Because it may just be my board that's off. Does anyone know if this is normal? Info: The board is in a lightly vented case and there is no HS on the SoC. There is light cross airflow in the area. Armbian version is "Welcome to Debian Buster with Armbian Linux 5.3.0-sunxi64" with current software updates. If there is more information I can provide, I would be glad to report it. Thank you for your time.
  5. Hello everyone! can anyone help with latest debian/ubntu on Opi1+ and emmc storage. There is no /dev/mmcblk1p* . Only /dev/mmcblk0p* (microSD). Aslo there is no option in armbian-config...
  6. Hello, I wonder how to use built in microphone on Orange Pi one +? root@orangepioneplus:~# arecord -l arecord: device_list:272: no soundcards found... Thanks
  7. Hey there, I just build a fresh dev image for the OrangePi One Plus (Stretch, console only, 5.0.x megous sources, latest commit was https://github.com/armbian/build/commit/783c2d0e25ff4542876943cfef6a7ac2921d1262) and unfortunately it seems to be unbootable. I put verbosity to 7 to get some more information rather than being stuck at "Starting kernel..." and this is what came up: @martinayotte I know you are running on 5.1-RCx locally right now but do you have any chance to verify this behavior? Edit: Just tried the same with Armbian_5.82.190423_Orangepioneplus_Debian_stretch_dev_5.0.7 and works fine. Edit2: Using APT to upgrade to the latest packages and reboot working as well. Though ethernet is not detected any longer...this is getting weird...
  8. Hi I own since a while an Orange Pi One Plus board that I have been unable to use till now (OS images supplied by manufacturer are just a joke !). I wanted to give it a test with ARMBian as you offer now some Beta images. As both Bionic and Stretcher are offered, is there one of them more stable or more near something finished ? Did someone have tried the board with one of these ? and did it work ? Thanks Vincèn
  9. Hi, I'm here to dig into low power consumption with allwinner H6 boards, I own an OrangePi one plus and I'm already doing some tests. With an H3 board and legacy kernel I would simply tweak fex file to turn off the unnecessary, and there is already good material around this argument. But with mainline kernel there is no documentation about lowering power consumption. I would really appreciate some hints on how to tweak down consumption for H6 boards and mainline kernel, probably editing DT overlay or some other config/patch files, and re-building? I already tweaked the simplest things like: -Using fast ethernet instead of gigabit -Lowering max CPU frequency (even if I chose this soc for higer CPU performance) Following what has already been done with H3 board I still have these things to try: -Disabling GPU and HDMI -Disabling USB -Lowering DRAM clockspeed And eventually downvolting more than the standard voltage for both core and memory (if possible, I'm open for try and miss testing) If you have some hints it would be really appreciated, I will of course share my findings hoping to help someone else. Thanks in advance
  10. Is it possible to install a desktop Enviroment on the Orange Pi One Plus without any problems? Whenever I use the Armbian config minimal desktop option, the Orange Pi stays on a red LED. It says it cannot install simpleFB, and it just sits at the starting kernel screen.
  11. Hello. I would like to download the iso of the Orange pi One Plus with Kernel 4.19. But when i click on the link the image that i download is whit Kernel 4.18. Can you help me?. Regards.
  12. I'm trying to get the Orange Pi One Plus' OTG port to function in "otg" or "peripheral" mode. I've modified the device tree configuration to change the "dr_mode" from "host" to "peripheral". This works as long as the Orange Pi One Plus and the device are separated by a hub. If directly connected via an OTG cable/adapter the device instead charges from the Orange Pi One Plus. I assume this would be due to the OTG port acting as a power source rather than a power sink. However, after experimenting I've been unable to find a device tree configuration change the role of the vbus. Does anybody have any advice?
  13. Hello, it seems like there are no dts files to add support for i2s. How hard would it be to complete this task? The documentation from h6 references support for i2s, and the same in the user manual from Xunlog : http://dl.sumnic.com/download/OrangePi-One-Plus.pdf Edit:After some reading, i2s is not working for now and there's no proper driver yet. Thanks to martinayotte, SPI is working.

  20. Hey there, I have two questions and one of those may be pretty dumb, but anyway. What is the issue that the onboard network is disabled at the moment? The other question is about the tested 3rd party hardware which include various LAN and WLAN adapters. Have those indeed tested with the current experimental images and working? Or is the network support disabled in the current builds at all? Best regards Werner
  21. https://pastebin.com/jpG4iGtX Not sure what else more to say. I included the whole upgrade process including the restart in the paste above. I'll now prepare another sd card using a fresh nightly image and check if this boots normal or if nightly is currently broken at all. Edit: Yep. Current nightly is broken. Pretty much the same errors https://pastebin.com/pGAG1iUy Armbian_5.51.180708_Orangepioneplus_Debian_stretch_dev_4.18.0-rc3 Edit2 Armbian_5.51.180706_Orangepioneplus_Debian_stretch_dev_4.17.4 confirmed working.
