dpjrodrigues Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Hi Guys, Most of us have powerfull (compared to Pi's) unused phones on the shelfs just because we got a new one or for other reasons. I have (a not so old) samsung S7 edge with broken screen siting on my shelf that I would love to use as server for my home automation projects. There are many options to keep android and run some Linux Distributions in chroot but it is still somehow limited. Since most of phone use ARM architecture I was wondering if there is already anything or interest in creating Armbian port for unused phones. My S7 edge runs a samsung exynos arm SOC. Thanks, Diogo
gounthar Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 I think that's the same SoC that the one in the Odroid XU4... which does not mean that would be easy to port it to your phone...
