Brau Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 (edited) No HDMI output (Amlogic S905X3 - X96 Max Plus2). Armbian *is* running, can SSH in when up. Have also soldered on a TTL UART (CH340G - all good/can putty in to watch boot logs). If flash back to Android stock, still no HMDI out (again can adb in IP address:5555 just fine). So, to clarify, when I say no HDMI out - I mean "No Signal". This includes the vendor Uboot splash when flashed with Android firmware (on the same/original LCD that was previously working just fine). Dmesg registers connect/disconnect HDMI hot plug, but no display. Is there an efuse for HDMI out? Almost certain board is just coincidentally dead at this stage. Was running headless installing various Armbian versions/dtbs, so don't know when it broke (only one physical LCD monitor locally) FWIW, device HDMI out was flickering on Android stock as the fridge compressor came on (same circuit). Game over for returns - cracked the seal to solder UART. Have tried: * Different HDMI cable * Different monitors * Different PSU & different PSU cable * Flashing various Armbian firmware - both generic AML (FAT32) and locally built image (ext4 DROID C4 with meson-sm1-sei610-ethfix.dtb) * Boot params relating to HDMI specifically: hdmimode="480p" vout="hdmi" m_bpp="32" hpd ="false" monitor_onoff="false" cvbscable="0" Any tips from the community before I toss this device in the garbage and walk away ...?
