Alexander Vasilenko Posted July 20, 2016 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Hello, everybody! Today I've got very interesting behavior during debian8-3.4.112 startup. If the network cable is plugged in - everything is ok. dhclient starting correctly with an ip address obtained from dhcp server. BUT! If the board started with unolugged network cable, dhclient do not start. Moreover, if I try to connect network cable when the system is up and running, dhclient is never start and network is unreachable respectively. arox Posted July 20, 2016 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Well, parallelizing boot script or making it dependant of network is a bad idee, because it tends to make it unpredictable. Especially when some init process depends on clock and the RTC dont keep time if you unplug power supply ... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
