tuxmartin
Hi, is possible to setup overlayf on Amrbian? I'm using Orange Pi Zero. I found only this https://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Advanced-Features/#how-to-freeze-your-filesystem-outdated and docs is outdated. On Rapsbian I can enable overlayfs directly from raspi-config. Is there any way how to do the same on Armbian? Thanks for help.
lampra
To my knowledge, this option is available in armbian-config only for Ubuntu builds
tuxmartin
@lamprathank you! Why doesn't Debian support overlay?

My understanding is that the overlayfs package is provided by the Ubuntu upstream packages, and is not part of the Debian repositories. Armbian does not provide or directly support this software package. It's likely that with some minor work, it would be compatible with the base Debian image, however is out of scope of the Armbian project.
Dandaman46
Is this still the case with the debian build?
