onekk Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 the entry in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freq (maybe the path is wrong, I haven't the machine and I'm going by memory) is readable only by root so it is not usable to a normal user to display the current frequency of the processor, There is a way to change this behaviour? My distribution is for Olimex-A20-Micro with legacy kernel 5.14 if i don't go wrong. TIA and regards
zador.blood.stained Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 I think this is intended, you can read current frequency via /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq instead of /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freq The difference between two values is explained here.
onekk Posted September 3, 2016 Author Posted September 3, 2016 Thanks, i will try this value asap. Regards
