Hugo Silva Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Hello @Marcio Melo, I'm installing Armbian on Rockchip, Amlogic and AllWinner-powered TV boxes for usage in public schools in Brazil. The Rockchip and Amlogic TV boxes were (relatively) easy to install Armbian, but, as far as I know, Allwinner SoCs are not supported by Armbian and we need to do the heavy lifting to install it on these TV boxes. However, I can't find any tutorial do this. Can you tell us how did you managed to install Armbian on your TV box? Thank you. PS: I'm trying to install it on a RedOne TV box powered by an ik316 SoC. 0 Quote
fefpi Posted March 3 Posted March 3 (edited) Hello, @Hugo Silva I'm also searching for solutions using TV Boxes for education in Brazil. Recently discovered that the IK316 CPU is "compatible" with some H616 images, so I am linking one image that you can test by yourself. I can't ensure that your RedOne is the same one as mine, but I confirm that I tested this image with a RedOne. The only problem is that it looks like the TV Box has a NAND storage, which seems that is not supported by armbian-install. Aside from that, it works fine enough. Here is the link: HIGH_TVArmbian-unofficial_24.11.0-trunk_X96q-v5-1_bookworm_current_6.6.44_mate_desktop.img.xz Also two pictures of the board for comparison: Edited March 3 by fefpi 0 Quote
