OK the V5 image address is 0x00010800
you will need to flash the root.img in this address
please change it on the table

Not useful, I had tried many times @hotnikq

I asked the seller that the device (h96 max v56 4gb/32gb) had some version of Linux and he sent me that useless image, I made many changes to make it work but I still need to fix the size of the Root partition (6gb)

the root partition enlarge is very easy,  just enlarge the rootfs partition (change the parameter.txt, like root:grow), and resize2fs root block @Kenneth Hidalgo

Sorry @mvpwar

When I said v5 image

It's about the v0.5 flash drive image that I have done...

I'm not so good with instructions,

For me It's hard to give instructions over a forum topic, be better when I have the device to debug.

Flash the V5 update.IMG on device

And v0.5 SD image on flash drive over USB 3.0

I had found the problem, and I tried to flashing the other image rock3a_debian_buster_xfce4_arm64_20211113_0127-gpt.img, no work

Now I flashed your v0.5 SD image ,the same result @hotnikq

do you know how to type some command on ttl debug serial mode? I want to check mmc info, but I found the keyboard input can't interupt the u-boot booting, my box only connect the tx,rx,gnd, I remember it works when I ttl debug the orangepi3

You need to enable console tty over dtb command line

So it will wait for interaction

Since we use an original Android dtb on uboot.img

No console enabled 😅

rock3a_debian_buster_xfce4_arm64_20211113_0127-gpt.img, no work

😮‍💨

I'm about to buy an 8gb box just to make this image, but I already have a lot of hardware sitting here, including a radxa rock 3A 8gb ram 64gb mmc 1tb nvme, that don't accelerate GPU 😂 (drivers), hardware waiting for some use, tomorrow I'm going to make a socks5 Proxy over isolated docker L3 lan on it just to prevent it from being at the bottom of the drawer

No need this interaction, I found I can not type the username and password while the debian10 init finished (this is interaction), I feel that I can't send any data to the ttl terminal

can you login the os at serial console when the os Initialization completed @hotnikq

can boot from mmc...no need usb

I hadn't even boot kernel6.2, I don't know why you can boot the os without boot.img, it is so difficult @hotnikq
