Orange Pi 3B v2.1 most apps fail silently

It's just plain Orange Pi 3B board with default factory config booted from SD card. As you can see most apps can't be started, they just fail silently. If started from terminal they log some exceptions. OS is completely unusable. Hardware is functional and it works well with the default Orange Pi images.

Hi, have same issue with radxa zero 3w, error messages cannot fork, or resource unavailable, kernel 6.1.75. But only when desktop is installed, with only server version it is fine.

Same - this kernel seems to limit number of processes - fork failed, resource temporarily unavailable.

Show your user limit:

ulimit -u

Show what limits other processes has:

grep process /proc/*/limits
