No welcome screen using ssh-login with public-key

Hi there,

 

I'm using a Cubietruck with Ubuntu-Server 16.04.3 legacy.
To make ssh-login more secure I changed to public-key and disabled login with user/password.
Everything works fine, but at login I can't see the welcome screen any longer.
Not a big problem, but it would be nice to get help. Thx!
